Modern Quilt Printable Gift Tags

I attempt it every year, but this is the first year I've actually accomplished it... I've finished all of my Christmas shopping before December! Our city, Toronto, is back under lockdown due to COVID starting today until Dec.21st so there was a big push to get in person shopping done over the last few days. So I hastily finished my shopping and now I'm just waiting on shipments and getting things wrapped.

I find I'm really drawn to nostalgic motifs this holiday season. Maybe it's due to all the uncertainty and stress in the world, but I find decor and accessories that remind me of the past bring a sense of comfort.

Quilt patterns are an enduring motif. In Prince Edward County, near our summer cottage, they have a "barn quilt trail" where you'll see painted quilt patterns adorning barns and outbuildings. These charming patterns spring to mind when you think of cozy guest bedrooms and winter bedding. I thought a modern interpretation on gift tags would work well printed in greyscale, but I've also created files in red and ice blue for download.

The crisp black and white pattern looks fun against my traditional gingham and plaid wrapping paper. Curious as to what's in those boxes? I got this and this for my sister and brother in law and this and this for Sean. I've finished off the wrapping with velvet and satin ribbon. It's a simple and clean look.
