My Favourite Things

It's just over a week until Christmas (crazy!!) and many of us are scrambling to buy the last of the gifts. Surprisingly, I found this to be the least-stressful buying season yet. Online shopping has transformed my life! Seriously, with all of the Black Friday - Cyber Monday - Green Monday sales, it's been easy to get presents checked off my list. Have you had that experience this year?

I couldn't resist eyeing a few things for myself too. The deals were too good to pass up so I've picked up the drawstring cowl sweater (basically living in it for the past week!) and the 2018 planner (I'm determined to be more organized this year) already. But in case Santa (ahem, Sean) still has me on his shopping list, here's what I'm hoping to find under the tree. I'm a practical girl at heart so each and every one of these items is something I'd genuinely use and appreciate.

- since getting my Instant Pot last year, I've been obsessed with it. While we make pork ribs or this asiago shrimp risotto on the regular, I'm always on the lookout for new recipes. This Instant Pot Cookbook by the folks at Good Housekeeping looks to have basic and varied dishes. Pre-order it for January.
- I received a sample of this Seaberry Skin Nutrition Booster with a recent Sephora purchase, and, OMG!! it's a miracle-worker. Since I hit my 40's, I've found my skin to be drier and the moisturizers I had always used weren't having the same effect. But just a drop of this serum in my moisturizer has left my skin looking and feeling its best in years. I like to mix it with my night cream and wake up feeling refreshed
- I loved these windowpane check flannel sheets from Serena & Lily but they are definitely a splurge. But this pinstripe flannel sheet set from West Elm is just as chic and way more affordable (30% off right now!)
- I've been doing more Instagram stories and live videos on my phone lately and have been looking for a phone tripod I can sit on my desk. This one has gotten good reviews. Plus, I can use the adapter with my regular sized tripod too.
- This drawstring cowl top is super duper uber soft! It's become my favourite lounge top for working at home. US friends, grab it at 50% off with code WRAPITUP
- This herb stripper is my idea of a great stocking stuffer. See, I told you I liked practical gifts ;)
- I've been on the hunt for a new apron for a long time and this ticking stripe Japanese apron with cross-back design has all the features I'm looking for. I love the pinafore style cross back - no apron ties to fiddle with
- Do you have a MUJI store near you? They make the most exquisite and simple stationery products. This weekly planner is utilitarian and attractive
- For the longest time, I was a Tim Hortons fanatic... but in the last year, McCafe has become my favourite take-out coffee! I've started enjoying the espresso beans at home as my everyday coffee and it tastes just like the coffee I buy in store
- Gil Schaefer is one of my favourite architects. I'm hoping Santa leaves Gil's latest book in my stocking so I can enjoy reading it by the fire Christmas day while I lounge in my pjs. Bliss!

Tell me, what's one must-have on your Christmas wish list?
