Handmade Gifts and My New Fabric Collection
My brother is the artist in the family. From a young age, he would impress us with his hand drawn illustrations, paintings he created for art class, or the portraits he would draw of our nephews. Don't you love seeing the talents of others, especially your family, grow and develop? I've always wanted to collaborate with him on a project and when I created my fabric shop on Spoonflower, I knew this was just the venue.
I brushed off the sewing machine and made a pair of tea towels...
fun pillow cases...
and placemats:
I had one of the designs printed on removable wallpaper and gave my tray a holiday makeover. A gift for me! Are you mad about plaid these days too?
P.S. If you're looking for more handmade gift inspiration, be sure to follow the #CDNHandmadeHoliday hashtag all this week. Quite a few bloggers will be sharing their ideas (all less than $25!). Maybe you'll be inspired to grab some fabric and sew up your own special gift.
