Shopping at Anthropologie & A Discount

Earlier this week, I was invited to rewardStyle & Anthropologie's first ever blogger event in Toronto. I know - they must have mixed me up with some fashion blogger ;) But, while I usually gravitate towards the housewares and coffee table books when I visit the store, this time I browsed the pretty frocks. I'm on a mission, you see. BlogPodium is one month away and I have nothing to wear!

Luckily, there were many options in store though I'm going to have to make a visit to the Shops At Don Mills location where they carry the Petites section. I thought I'd share some outfit inspiration in case you're headed to BlogPodium too or are in need of a wardrobe refresh. I'm no fashion blogger but I am making more of an effort these days to dress up and really put thought into what I wear. You just feel more confident and beautiful when you do, don't you think?

And here's a bonus just for you:

Anthropologie is offering my Toronto readers 15% off any purchase made during an in-store personal styling session over the next 3 months (until November 12). Just book an in-store personal styling session (fill out this form and choose "in-store") then mention the rewardStyle blogger event at check-out in any of Toronto's four Anthropologie stores.

DAYTIME PRETTY:

I saw this top in store and thought it was so pretty. I'd wear it with a pencil skirt for weekend brunch or with casual pants for a daytime event. I usually don't like to be too over dressed or fancy during the day; this outfit feels effortless and just pulled together enough for me.

FULL OF PATTERN:

This dress is not something I would typically wear. But I saw several of the employees in store wearing the same dress (was it a uniform or did they all just really love it?) and it had a fresh bohemian vibe that I was drawn to. Shooties (new fashion term!) seem right for this time of the year.

DECIDEDLY FEMININE:

Most of my personal fashion choices probably fall in this category. I love florals on just about anything and this brocade pouch caught my eye in store. I left it behind but I think I'll have to go back for it! The deeper jewel tones of the dress would transition nicely as we head into colder weather; I think it would look great with opaque tights.

Have you been outfit shopping lately? The stores are starting to fill with fall fashions! And while I love summer, I get a little bit giddy when I start seeing all the layers and warmer clothing.

*Disclosure: I was not compensated or sponsored to write this post though affiliate links have been used. While it's not a topic I share regularly, I do like to put together the occasional fashion post - it helps me develop my style and be more confident in my fashion choices ;) I think many of us women struggle with our wardrobes, especially as we get older and drift further away from our 'fashionable twenties'. Tell me I'm not the only one?? Better yet, do you have a favourite fashion blog? Let me know in the comments!
