Where do you get inspired? I usually get inspired by the smallest details around me. I'll see a small fabric pattern in a magazine story and be instantly drawn to it. Or I'll come across an image on Pinterest and notice the tiniest detail... the way a window is framed, or how the side table is styled and be inspired to do something similar in my own home.


Indigo gifted me with some items from their summer collection and when I saw the linen napkins, I was instantly inspired to create a breezy tablescape. I received some beautiful flowers this week so I put together a quick display atop the mirrored cabinet that sits in my dining room. I actually don't have any parties planned and don't need these serving pieces out on display... but why not? Sometimes you just want things looking beautiful for no reason at all.
 

The mercury glass lanterns and the flax napkins are so so beautiful. I've had a set of linen napkins that have lasted me for ten years. They work with almost every place setting and wash beautifully. These ones with a hint of blue seem perfect for summer entertaining. I feel a picnic coming on!
