When it came to decorating Chloe's big girl room, I knew exactly where I wanted to look for furnishings: Pottery Barn Kids. Not only does the transitional style of their products fit with the look of my house, but I think their products are really well made and have a timeless quality that will last Chloe well beyond these early years.
So when Pottery Barn Kids asked me to host an event and style a vignette in store, I jumped at the chance. The Nursery Style Events will be held in all Pottery Barn Kids stores this Saturday May 3rd from 4pm-6pm but they've partnered with a few bloggers (me for the Toronto Bloor Street location and Monika of The Doctor's Closet for Vancouver's Granville Store) to bring some of our personal style to the event. Of course, you know mine will have a DIY-flavour :)
I loved shopping the store to create my vignette. I'll let you in on a secret: I occasionally shop PBK for items to put in my room. I find that many of their pieces are stylish enough for adult spaces AND are a lower price. Like this chenille rug with a soft chevron pattern and ticking stripe border - $269 for a 7'x9' is a steal! I find that the Pottery Barn Kids rugs, mirrors, lighting, and case goods like dressers are all a little less expensive than their adult counterparts.
Not convinced? Let's play a little game. Guess which of these items below are from Pottery Barn Kids and which are from Pottery Barn. Hover and click through to see if you were right.
Interesting, right? Maybe I'll see you in store on Saturday - with or without a little one to shop for ;) If you can't make it to the store, check out my guest post on the Pottery Barn Kids Building Blocks blog to see some of the DIY ideas I'm sharing!
