It's the final part of the Great Reads tour. I've asked
some of my favourite bloggers to highlight two of their posts from this year and I've also
included one of my picks. Enjoy another look at these great reads!
Hello RR readers, Kate here, author of the DIY and design blog Centsational Girl where I write about our adventures in home remodeling and reflect on good design, both classic and trendy.
Thank you to all the fabulous bloggers who participated in the Great Reads 2013 Blog Tour! I enjoyed revisiting these posts and hope you did too. And to cap off the tour, my Most Popular Post this year was this one and my Favourite Post was this one. That photo still makes my heart ache just a little bit.

Danielle says: I love to create well-designed and unified spaces on tight budgets.
I share my design secrets, budget friendly products, favorite DIY'S,
and glimpses into making over my own home.
Most Popular Post - My most popular post Emory's Room Reveal. I transformed my 5 year old daughters bedroom for $150.00!
Favourite Post - It has to be this simple and easy DIY art tutorial
Rambling Renovators' Pick - This Back-to-School Lunch Party is so fun and adorable. Danielle is always so skilled at pulling together fun projects on a budget!Hello RR readers, Kate here, author of the DIY and design blog Centsational Girl where I write about our adventures in home remodeling and reflect on good design, both classic and trendy.
Most Popular Post - Jennifer asked what my most popular post of the year was, I've had a
dozen or so but the furniture makeovers are always a big hit, especially
this $10 cabinet makeover that took a media console it from completely drab to totally fab.
Favourite Post - It's hard to pick a favorite post, so I'll pick this sentimental one, I wrote about seeing my childhood home 30 years later, comparing images of what it was when we lived there to what it looks like now.
Rambling Renovators' Pick - Kate's Best of the Blogosphere series will have you clicking all the way through 2014.
Chris Loves Julia is a realistic DIY/Shelter blog written by Chris (he
loves to cook) and Julia (she loves to paint) as they renovate, decorate
and update their home--and all the details and mishaps that entails.
They have a spunky toddler, Greta, a massive dog, Charly, and a little
girl on the way, due to arrive in April.
Most Popular Post - Our most popular post this year was our Kitchen Before + Afters from our
last home. We took some fun risks, and couldn't be more happy with the
outcome or the support we got from links and press. Man! We miss that
kitchen.
Favourite Post - Our favorite project/post this past year was working on our daughter's closet. It was not functional and not cute to begin with. At all. We
were designing her big-girl room and decided to update her closet as
well. Closets are something that are often overlooked, even by us, and
for the little time and effort it took to transform her closet--the
payoff was infinitely as charming as it was useful.
Rambling Renovators' Pick - Greta's Art Wall is a lesson in curating art. I especially love Greta's DIY art!
