Martha Stewart at Delicious Food Show
Are you a foodie? You'll want to head to Toronto this weekend as the Delicious Food Show brings the best in food, cooking and entertaining to the city. With the holidays approaching, I'm ready to be filled with inspiration for new dishes and flavours to serve this season. The Home Depot will be there too, showing off their fabulous kitchen cabinetry and Brian Gluckstein will be giving entertaining tips, so there's plenty for the design-minded to enjoy. There will be cooking demonstrations, celebrity chefs, and of course lots of sampling too.
But more than the food, I'm looking forward to seeing Martha at the show. The same Martha Stewart who last week said this:
Oh, Martha. If you are a blogger, you probably have an opinion about what was said. My view is this: her tone was dismissive and arrogant but at the same time, I wasn't surprised by it. It is typical Martha. And in the end, is Martha's opinion about my worth as a blogger more important than what I think or what any of my readers think? No it isn't.
Despite the poor choice of words, I admire Martha for her ability to do her own thing. She is a perfectionist who produces amazing content. I find myself continually inspired to craft, garden, and bake by her. If her career as a lifestyle and media mogul doesn't pan out, I bet she'd be a pretty awesome blogger herself ;)
