The Love List
Something a little different for this Love List... there's just one thing I'm swooning over...

I first saw this home, the Holladay House, on Caitlin Creer's blog and then again on 4 Men 1 Lady. It is built by Tiek Built Homes with interior decorating by Caitlin Creer. Caitlin's decor really evokes the coastal feel in this Cape Cod classic. My absolute favourite touches - the rug in the boy's bedroom and the striped island bench in the kitchen.

But it is the bones of the house, the traditional architecture and well-thought out details, which make my heart sing. This may be my favourite house of all time.

Looky! A panelled wall in their master bedroom too!
This office has such a similar layout to my office. Of course, this is more sophisticated and traditional (a look I would replicate if I were redoing my office today!) Absolutely love the spool chairs and the wood countertops.

The photos above are of the house before it was decorated and you can see how the details just jump out at you... built-in cabinets, window seat, and closets with cutouts to add another layer of interest. Modern panelling above the fireplace mixed with a traditional herringbone tile pattern within it. High baseboards, simple shaker cabinetry, and polished hardware throughout.

A lovely girls room. Feminine and modern without being overly girly.
Everything light and bright. I love how the interiors feel fresh and new but are in keeping with the style and period of the house.
I was really impressed by the builder and checked out the rest of the Tiek Built Homes portfolio. Here are a few other of their projects showcasing their classic, timeless style...
What do you think? I'm ready to move right in!! Steve, the talent behind Tiek Built Homes says they'll be posting more photos and sources about Holladay House in the next week so do check them out if you're interested.
