Here and There

Happy Monday! Did you have a good weekend? Ours was filled with a bit of antiquing, some family bbq, and time in the backyard taming the jungle growing back there. Summertime is running out! Gotta fill these last few days with all these warm weather activities.

A few interesting things came into my mailbox while we were on vacation. Reader Laurel, self-professed "Happy Homemaker and Proud Owner of a Panelled Wall" shared this project she and her husband created for their master bedroom.

Didn't they do a fabulous job?? Laurel used our panelled wall tutorial for guidance and ended up with a really serene looking bedroom. Good job guys!

Anne-Marie at 10 Rooms Design featured my Crushing On Color guest post while we were gone and I didn't get a chance to let you readers know.  Have you been to Anne-Marie's blog? She is full of inspiration with great ideas on incorporating colour...
and decor...

into your home. So what colour am I crushing on? Here's a hint but you'll have to head on over to 10 Room Design to find out.

Reader Lindsay wrote in asking for tips on how to paint this dresser which used to sit in her grandparents' house.

Since Lindsay was painting the dresser by hand whereas we use a paint sprayer for our projects, I directed her to these really helpful posts (here and here) by Kate at Centsational Girl on painting furniture. The tips were just what Lindsay needed and her dresser turned out looking great! I love that she kept the original hardware. Thanks for sharing Lindsay!
