HandyMan and I are back from our brief jaunt to Prince Edward County. The break was just what we needed. We stayed at a quaint Victorian Inn and spent our days exploring the local wine, cider, and cheese offerings throughout the many small southern Ontario towns we visited. Most fun, we spent time poking around the country markets and shops. Some of my fun little buys: a Pottery Barn Home book for $4, ceramic balls to add to my collection, a Scottie doorstop, and these awesome grey and yellow placemats and napkins. I planned on using them out on the deck, but looking at how well they coordinate with our dining room wallpaper, they can be used indoors too.
We also wandered around looking at porch details. Now we're all revved up to draw up a plan and get to work on the back porch. Nothing says summer like sitting outdoors, sipping lemonade! I'm finding though, the more time we spend working on the house, the more time our minds and bodies demand to take a break and get away from it all. Anyone else feel that way?
